President Hamid bin Abdullah al-Ahmar participated in the 42nd session of the conference of the African Parliamentary Union held in Djibouti on Thursday, November 28, 2019 in the presence of the Prime Minister of Djibouti, the Speaker of the Parliament of Djibouti, the President of Parliament of Burkina Faso, the President of the African Union Parliament, the Speaker of the Zimbabwe Parliament, the President of the Qatari Shura Council, the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament and many African countries.
While on the eve of the celebration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, at the initiative of the United Nations, he expressed the need to unite the efforts of African parliamentarians who know the scourge of colonialism to put an end to the occupation of Palestine and which is included in the agenda of the Fourth United Nations Commission.
He also appreciated the inclusion of the topic of child protection and maternity care on the agenda, examining the violations suffered by this segment of Palestine, which requires the use of all political and social mechanisms to protect them from the Zionist crime which seeks by all means to normalize its relations with the African continent through economic, cultural and sporting agreements which conceals the intention of the occupation in the form of cooperation.
The president was accompanied by the general director, Mr. Bachir Jarallah, and the secretary, the engineer Abed Allah Al-Beltaji.
