US LEGISLATOR: ISRAEL SEEKS LEGISLATION TO PUNISH THE PRO-PALESTINIAN MOVEMENTS

A Deborah Silcox, Legislator from Georgia, USA said that the Israeli consulate asked her to enact legislation to sanction pro-Palestinian movements, including the BDS movement.
Legislator Silcox confirmed during a hearing of the Legislature the intervention by the Israeli occupation government to lobby US states to pass legislation aimed at punishing pro-Palestinian movements.
In 2016, 34 US states, including Georgia, adopted legislation that would deny funding to those who advocate for the BDS movement.
