A horde of Jewish settlers, led by Israel’s Minister of Agriculture Uri Ariel, on Sunday stormed al-Aqsa Mosque under tight police guard.
The Islamic Awqaf said that Ariel and 17 Israeli settlers, accompanied by a large police force, broke into al-Aqsa Mosque in the morning and toured its courtyards.
After midnight on Sunday, the Israeli police forced the Palestinian worshipers who remained at al-Aqsa Mosque after Tarawih prayers out of the site to clear way for the settlers.
